Result | Win for Singleton |
For the last Match of the tour Pilgrims again batted first with Rendy changing around the batting order Nick and Harry opened the batting. Unfortunately for Harry his stay didnt last long as Sam, Nick's grandon joined him at the crease.Runs started to come more freely as both Nick and Sam moved the score along and for Nick his 56 run partnership with Sam was his highlight of the season. Not long after a mix up between calling saw Sam(19) run out by a direct hit. Sorry Sam.Lawrence was next in as the runs stepped up in pace before Lawrence(15) was stumped going for a big one over the bowlers head.6 runs later and Nick (54) was caught on the boundary leaving Conrad and Matt at the crease after Jacko was out for 2 and the Pilgrims on a score of 117-5. Some good stricking by conrad saw him onto 19 before he too was run out.Matt and Craig went after the bowling with some very quick runs before Pilgrims ended on a score of 236-8, Matt scoring 62 and Craig 42.Another exellent tea went down well before it was Pilgrims turn to field. A very dubious and obviously a game changing decision went against Pilgrims when opener A.Court in single figures was caught behind and not given went on to score 92 before Singletons P.Symonds 31no and G.Stanford 31no took the score past the Pilgrims total with 6 wickets to spare Trevor being the pick of the bowlers with 2-45. A huge thanks to all the supporters (including Saffy and little Olie) who supported us through out a very enjoyable and fun tour. |
